As of yesterday (June 8, 2009) I have been out of the office for one month. I find that I am wondering where the month went...and no job in sight. However, in that month I have planned, prepped and helped host a graduation party for my son; scanned over 200 photos in preparation for a graduation video and two presentations for the choir in which I sing, applied for at least 6 jobs, written a final project for my Masters program, (got an A on the project and in the class)...and I think that there are a few other things completed, too.
So while I haven't found a job, I have marked a few things off the "to-do" list. Today was spent getting ready for a big performance for my choir - setting up the stage decorations - and working on a special project for my former supervisor. Tomorrow - the choir show...and Thursday will find me hard at work on the job search.
Until then...I'm trying to figure out a way to get paid for volunteer work!
