While it's not truly part of my job search, the class that I am taking - Journalism 7700 from the University of Missouri - is helping me to learn things that are SURE to be beneficial to me as I go out in the workforce again. Just this morning I figured out - with the help of some of my classmates - how to put a counter on my blog. Now that may seem like a minimal thing, but for someone who HATES to read directions and just wants to DO something, it is an accomplishment!
Today I'm packing to move. One of the downsides of not having a job is the challenge of signing a lease for an apartment. The lease where I am has ended, and so I will be living with 2 dear friends. I am blessed that they are helping me out. When I get settled in I will post some pictures.
As an aside, I am thinking about what my topic should be for this week's "thought paper" for my class. I read an article this morning in the paper about research that says that increased Internet usage has cut into family time. DUH. However I'm going to let that simmer in my mind as I wrap my trinkets in the more traditional form of journalism - the newspaper!
Later!
